These tables were created by a hard-working team of  PUMApac members.

They had to sort through information provided by the Obama teams.

All the Obama filings were disorganized and randomly submitted.

Your should appreciate the work these people have done to reveal the exceedances and ineligible donations received by the Democratic Party this year and ask the FEC to investigate these donations and to rewrite the rules for reporting to the FEC so that no future elections will create such disorder, doubt, and possible intentional dishonesty.

Disclaimer:  I was not a member of this team.

A recent post by the chairman of the team that compiled the information in the original complaints to the FEC is at http://pumapac.org/2010/01/14/whered-the-money-come-from-barack. The issue is as relevant today as it was when the review first began in 2008.

The updated complaints will be added in their entirety as I can get to them, which may be a long time.   In the meantime, links to the updates are posted Here

Complaint of Over Limit Contributions and Request for Audit – Obama for America (C00431445) and Obama Victory Fund (C00451393)

Summary of Post-General Report $4,600 Exceedances

(Supplemental Update to MUR 6142)

Dear Sir or Madam:

This is a supplemental update to complaint, MUR 6142, pertaining to the Presidential Campaign Funds of Barack Obama.  It is based on FEC files downloaded from the FEC website for Post-General funds and the Year End Report.

The Summary Report of the previously submitted for the Post-General Fund $4,600 limit exceedances (February 1, 2009 supplement, Table I) is updated by variation with the year end reporting.   Refunds were made to 212 donors, 55 that were on the exceedance list, reducing the total exceedances from 1,656 contributors totaling $1.9 million to 1,609 contributors totaling $1.8 million.  The exceedances refunded and reduced are listed in Table II. Transactions were difficult to reconcile as many of the entries had first and last name reversed.

Some additional credit card and bank charge backs were debited from contributions, increasing the previously reported $1,873,478 (December 23, 2008 supplement, Table II) by approximately $140,509.  However, one of these 17A line items listed in the year end report could not be found in the FEC contributor file posted on line, ALL.zip.  The item was reported as “Unitemized Donors” $50,563.40 as a debit.

The American People need an audit of the Obama for America (C00431445) and Obama Victory Fund (C00451393).  We are depending on the FEC to assure compliance with fair practices.  Please audit the Obama Presidential Campaign Funds.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours Truly,

Complaint of Over Limit Contributions and Request for Audit – Obama for America (C00431445) and Obama Victory Fund (C00451393)

Summary of Post-General Report $4,600 Exceedances

(Supplemental Update to MUR 6142)

Dear Sir or Madam:

This is a supplemental update to complaint, MUR 6142, pertaining to the Presidential Campaign Funds of Barack Obama.  It is based on FEC files downloaded from the FEC website for Post-General funds.

This is a Summary Report of the previously submitted Post-General Fund $4,600 limit exceedance supplements.  The totals are listed in Table I by state.  The contributors and their sums are listed in Table II.  Individual transactions are not listed but are as per previous submissions.  Some minor corrections have been made to the sums, as indicated.

There are a total of 1,656 contributors totaling $1.9 million that appear to be over the $4,600 limit by an average $1,155.  It is of note that the listing of 1,656 contributors required 3,206 listings for variations in name and/or zip code (contributors may be listed more than once in Table II if there are variations in their names and/or zip codes but their sum is listed only once).   This would indicate that there are many variations in the donor listings that make sums difficult to track.

The Obama Campaign submitted over 2.5 million transactions to the FEC.  However, database analysis indicates that the entire campaign file contains only 704,773 contributors with unique names and 5 digit zip codes.  The total contributions reported came to $485 million, yet they campaign reported spending $741 million.  They also claim to have 2-3 million donors.  What verification has been made that the unreported $255 million came from the 2 million donors, who are apparently claimed to be under the reporting limit?   With all the exceedances of the total contribution limit, it would be reasonable to question the validity of the reporting limit claims.  It is requested that the records of the unreported contributions be reviewed.

The American People need an audit of the Obama for America (C00431445) and Obama Victory Fund (C00451393).  We are depending on the FEC to assure compliance with fair practices.  Please audit the Obama Presidential Campaign Funds.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
